We join the Federal Government and indeed Nigerians today in celebrating the 21st Democracy and Civil Rule restoration.
Democracy day is indeed memorable and an eventful period as it Mark’s the history of our existence as a people, nation and a democratic independent entity. It also gives the right to all citizens to enjoy equal participation in democratic processes. Although, this day came with struggles and sufferings, hence, we remember and celebrate our heroes, especially Chief MKO Abiola, GCFR, who sacrificed so much for the freedom we are enjoying today.
It is imperative to remember that, democracy gives us special value and responsibility to support and uphold democratic rule.
This 21 years of uninterrupted democratic journey had come with different governing experiences characterized at a stretch with mixed occurrences; the good and the bad, progress and retrogression, success and challenges, Economic boom and upturn, upheavals and giant strides as well as Hope’s and successive fulfillment. In midst of all these, as individuals and people, the fact remains that our Democracy has been sustained for over two decades, though, with open room for further development.
We are optimistic that the years to come, will be filled with more success stories, unmatched synergy towards continuous Unity, development of a sound democratic values and most importantly, improving in the development of the Youths of our dear country, Nigeria.
